Membership Q&A

You've talked, and we have listened, we are evolving, offering new membership categories at varying price points delivering the exact products and services you and your organisation need.

IMPORTANT: all memberships are now effective for 12 months from 1st July - 30 June.

How does the new structure effect my membership?

You will be invoiced at your normal anniversary date (let's say November 30th) for 8 months (the difference). You will then receive a renewal reminder on July 1 in order to renew your membership for the following 12 months.

I have received an invoice but do not wish to renew - what do I do now?

Please contact us as soon as possible +61 8 8332 0130 or membership@parksleisure.com.au.

What's the difference the old corporate membership and the new one?

The new structure allows more people in your organisation to access the wealth of benefits of a PLA membership.

How can I pay for my membership?

Payment is still made online via credit card (VISA/Mastercard) or EFT.

What is the difference between a corporate and individual membership?

Individual memberships are designed for a single person whereas a corporate membership allows multiple people in your organisation to benefit.

How often can a corporate member change the individuals listed within their membership?

Corporate members may change their nominated members in reasonable circumstances such as a person leaving, someone taking extended leave or changing departments. An organisation may not change individuals within a corporate membership without approval from PLA.

PLA has provided me a wealth of opportunities to meet and collaborate with other open space and recreation professionals eager to share their knowledge and has also allowed me to share my ideas in a cooperative and safe environment.

Louise, Consultant

It's important to keep up with new technology and techniques in managing Parks & Open Spaces and hear from industry leading operators about how we can do things more environmentally friendly and effectively. I also enjoy the networking and meeting people from the different organisations. It keeps me fresh and motivated to improve things.

Jason, Manager, Hume City Council

I have found the seminars and conferences run by PLA have provided a vehicle to create friendships and professional affiliations amongst the membership from as close as the adjoining council to as far away as interstate and overseas.
