WA Community Facility Guidelines - Central Metro

Date
14 November 2019
Time
9:30 am - 11:00 am
Venue
John McGrath Pavillion
97 Hensman Street, South Perth (next to the City of South Perth building)

The Community Facility Guidelines (CFG) project was initiated by Parks and Leisure Australia Western Australia (PLA WA) in 2010, with the aim of developing resources for industry practitioners to assist with public open space (POS), sport and recreation facility strategic planning and development. Five years ago PLA WA with the help of local government authorities commenced mapping community facilities and POS in metropolitan Perth to provide a mechanism for validating the per capita provision ratios.

You are invited to register to attend one of four sub-region specific sessions on the findings and data analysis. The presentation will include what data was collected and how it was interpreted; indicative levels of provision of POS and community sport; and proposed changes to the Guidelines including population triggers and catchments. The information session will also outline the recently released PLA WA Recreation Strategy Checklist.

Upon registration, you will receive a copy of the PLA WA Community Facility Guidelines and the PLA WA Recreation Strategy Checklist.
