Standards Australia have recently released updated standards to the series of AS 4685, Playground equipment and surfacing, parts 1-6, which contain several deviations from previous versions of the Standard. The new Standards are more closely aligned with international standards. The standards aim to guide manufacturers, suppliers and designers around the requirements for playground equipment.

This online session will provide an overview of the playground standard revisions including;

  • AS 4685 Parts 1 - 6: The Playground Equipment Suite.
  • AS 16630:2021 Permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment.
  • AS EN 14974:2021 Skateparks.
  • AS EN 16899:2020 Parkour equipment.
