Kristin uniquely represents a diverse background in government, social policy, sports, recreation, leisure, social planning sectors and has a critical appreciation and sound knowledge of a diverse range of dynamic, increasingly disrupted and interconnected industry fields, with a strong background in strategic policy and planning, organisational transformation.




Rachel Thorpe

Rachel Thorpe, Community Planner, Hume Council & National Director Parks & Leisure Australia

As a PLA National Board member Rachel is charged with leading advocacy for the health, social, environmental and economic benefits that increased quantity and quality parkland provides. Importantly, she facilitates and participates in industries networks who are engaged in community and open space planning and who have influence over the development of local and state agendas in urban resilience.

Emma Lowe

Emma Lowe, National Access & Inclusion Coordinator at Belgravia Leisure

Emma has rapidly progressed to an organisation-wide leadership role within Belgravia Leisure, repeatedly displaying leadership, professional skills and behaviour that underpin excellence. Her dedication to her role as Access and Inclusion Coordinator has made her a wonderful ambassador for Belgravia Leisure and the parks and leisure industry.

Emma is a national finalist in the 2021 PLA Awards of Excellence, David Aldous Young professional of the year award which will be announced in November
