Parkour is the most googled searched 'unstructured' sport in the world and second in Australia only to Rock Climbing.

Parkour is a universally popular sport with a dedicated and growing community. Relatively un-catered for in our youth spaces, the adoption of an Australian standard for Parkour and its growing demand provides an opportunity for local governments to consider the installation of suitable infrastructure to support the sport.

In this half day session we will

  • hear from Parkour about the sport here in WA and their experiences and requirements
  • learn about the newly adopted standards and how this can make installing a parkour space a practical and viable option.
  • receive the findings of a commissioned white paper on the statistics, attitudes and facts about Parkour as a sport.
  • learn about parkour equipment that has been designed to the new standard and how this can be used to design a parkour facility.
  • find out about maintenance and costs

Join us as we speak with Parkour professionals and industry representatives on the new Parkour Standards, how these have changed, and the range of parkour equipment available today.

The day will include a Parkour demonstration, morning tea and plenty of opportunities to speak with our presenters:

- Mitchell Robinson | Perth Parkour Inc.

- Andrew Reedy | Play Check

- Ashley Walker | LARK Industries

- Aidan Power |Tredwell Management
