Ann Huthwaite is a librarian, specialising in information storage and retrieval and the management of bibliographic databases. During her career she worked at the State Library of Queensland, and then at the Queensland University of Technology Library, where she held the position of Library Resource Services Manager. In her retirement she is expanding her knowledge of Australian native plants and their habitats, and frequently walks in parks and conservation areas in South-East Queensland on botanising expeditions. This photo shows her examining the leaves of a native tree in the Redcliffe Botanic Gardens, north of Brisbane.

This led to his move into the parks and recreation sector. He has been a long-term member of RAIPR and PLA - serving on the PLA Board and subsequently on its Advisory Committee, and also as Chair of the National Conference Committee. More recently he has been heavily committed to the establishment of PaRC, coordinating input into PLA's new database initiative.
