Helping clubs stay compliant with liquor and gambling laws
Many clubs use council facilities, have liquor licences and fundraise to make ends meet.
The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) works with licensed sporting clubs to help them understand their obligations with the gambling and liquor laws.
Organised by councils, the VCGLR presents at seminars and forums providing education material and answering club-specific questions.
The VCGLR Education team can also come out to your council to help your clubs understand their licence conditions.
We know that sporting clubs are often run by volunteers who don't always understand the gambling and liquor laws. So, we're here to help make it easier for clubs to do the right thing.
Staying compliant means clubs can get on with the job of making the safety of members, guests, players and staff a priority.
Please contact the VCGLR on 1300 182 457 if you'd like to discuss education opportunities or email firstname.lastname@example.org
You can also check out the VCGLR's dedicated sports club page, which has links to new education resources and handy posters.
