Parks and Leisure Australia is calling for nominations to fill vacancies on all our Region Councils.
Each Council has the following number of positions declared vacant:
- NSW/ACT – 4 positions
- QLD – 5 positions
- SA/NT – 3 positions
- VIC/TAS – 4 positions
- WA – 4 positions
As the leading industry association for professionals in the sector, our aim is for Australia to be the most liveable country in the world, renowned for its parks, sport and recreation facilities that provide the foundation for healthy communities and liveable towns and cities.
We support our members through the provision of training, professional development, research, advocacy and provide a range of products and services to support members and the industry.
Under the guidance of the National Board, and within the guidelines of PLA policies, procedures and constitution, Region councils work with the contracted Executive Officers to respond to region membership needs through the development of customised region products and services.
If you know someone who is passionate about what happens in our regions, now is a great opportunity to nominate and make a difference. Elected Councillors will hold the position for a 3-year term.
