Adam Cheyne joins the team at PLA
Adam is a qualified Town Planner and sports industry professional with over 14 years experience across a range of leadership, management and project roles. Adam has held senior leadership roles in both National and State Sporting Organisations, across the fields of sport facility and infrastructure planning, strategic planning, advocacy, government relations, community engagement, and sports participation strategy. Adam's professional experience includes roles at a number of local governments and private consultancy, across metropolitan and regional areas. Adam experience also extends to the delivery a number of regional and state significant projects across the sports/leisure, residential, community, environment, social and transport sectors.
Leading community, environmental, health and social outcomes, integrated with human centered thinking is at the heart of Adam's approach. Ensuring we as an industry provide and deliver more accessible, innovative and human centered parks, sports facilities, and spaces for all of our community to enjoy is key for our current and future generations.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning) from RMIT, and a Master of Business (Sports Management) from Deakin University. In addition to Parks and Leisure Australia and is also an active member of the Planning Institute of Australia and the Sports Environment Alliance.
