Find your wild!
With over 2500km of off road tracks, the Wellington Region is a trail users paradise.

A region characterised by hills, harbours, native bush, rugged wild coastlines and nature on its doorstep, Wellington has a vast trail network running all through it. But until recently the network's potential was unrealised. The Wellington Region was better known for its culture, craft beer and the Wairarapa's wine trails than for its outstanding trail network.
That all changed in 2017 when the region's eight city and district councils, regional council, regional economic development agency and the Department of Conservation came together to develop Wellington Regional Trails for the Future, a framework for the planning, development and promotion of the Wellington Regional Trails Network.
