MOU Signing Between Australia and Canada
SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN PARKS AND LEISURE AUSTRALIA AND CANADIAN PARKS AND RECREATION ASSOCIATION
We are excited to announce Parks and Leisure Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA)!
This has been a virtual signing of the MOU with the PLA Board signing off on the MOU on 24 November 2021 and the CPRA Board signing off on 3 December 2021.
PLA CEO, Mark Band made the final signing yesterday (16 December 2021) which seals a framework of cooperation and collaboration for mutual benefit through key activities.
Mark said, "I am delighted we have moved ahead with this and looking forward some key activities coming to fruition".
The key activities will be centered on:
- Education, Networking and Professional Development
- Research and Data
- Communications and Promotion
- Best and Next Practice
Prior to signing the MOU, PLA CEO, Mark Band, and CPRA President, CJ Noble, shared short- and long-term development priorities in the Parks and Leisure Industry.
The MOU reaffirms the long-standing partnership between PLA and CPRA and builds on collaborative initiatives, adding value to the Parks and Leisure industry.
CPRA President, CJ Noble said, "We are excited about CPRA signing the Memorandum of Understanding with Parks and Leisure Australia. This will help our organisations grow the parks and recreation sector in Canada and Australia."
PLA and CPRA will meet quarterly in the New Year and have already planned virtual presentations to each other's Boards.
