The paper "Dictionary of Key Terms" explains the three key concepts of park, recreation and open space, then includes another six pages of definitions of common terms found in park, land and natural resource management.

The working paper "The Definition of "Open Space" and Related Concepts in Queensland" offers a history of the use of the terms 'open space', 'regional parks' and 'landscape' and an overview of international and interstate usage.
