The media play a huge part in promoting community sport and shining a light on the endless contributions sport make to our families, children and community members. As a Sports Journalist, Bonnie Raynor has a big part to play in the stories that get shared with our community members, and indirectly how they perceive sport in this ever-changing environment. Come along and get a glimpse of what it's like to be on the reporting side of community sport, as well as the role the media have in celebrating sports' role in thriving communities.

About Bonnie

Bonnie started her career at Fox Sports News in Sydney as a Video and Sports Journalist. Prior to her current role at Channel 9, she has worked across the WACA, Cricket Australia, TAB Radio and The West to name a few, and has a wealth of experience in sport interest and news. Bonnie is a huge West Coast Eagles fan and long-time member and is a self-professed sport-mad fanatic. Bonnie grew up in Perth and has spent time playing community sports in her own time having played netball nearly her whole life. She comes from a large family being the eldest of four daughters and has previously said she loves new challenges and a lot of sport!
