The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar and Nullagine.

This exciting “hands on” role will appeal to candidates that are suitably qualified and can demonstrate recent supervisory experience in a busy Aquatic environment. In this role you will provide safe, cost effective and customer focused aquatic services and facilities, while promoting affordability and accessibility.

Key responsibilities include the provision of operational expertise, marketing and business development support; relationship management with key stakeholders, including lessees/contractors; development of aquatic services and water safety education programs; and the management of aquatics staff, and promoting a strong staff culture; across Newman Aquatic Centre (Group One facility) and the Marble Bar Swimming Pool (Group Two facility).

The annualised salary is in the range of between $93,179.77 per annum and $98,001.21 per annum with the final figure to be negotiated with the successful applicant, commensurate with the applicant’s skills and experience. The salary is based on Level 9 of the Local Government Industry Award 2010 with an over award payment, and the amounts listed are inclusive of East Pilbara and location allowances.
