Tamara Tenadii

About the role

In this newly created role, you will provide strong leadership during the development and implementation of this new inclusive facility to ensure best practice principles are applied, while overseeing programs and services that align with Community Plan Strategies to achieve community expectations. Building and fostering relationships with young people, their families and stakeholders, including partnerships with state government departments, not-for-profit organisations and community groups is integral to successfully delivering community capacity building and youth support projects in this role.

About you, in the role

Strong interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills will enable you to engage with community and build and lead a small multi-disciplinary team while developing a positive team culture.

Skills and experience in activating and managing a facility through its early and ongoing stages of development and the ability to lead the development of policies, procedures, and work practices, as well as the development and ongoing review of risk identification, mitigation and management is essential.

Strong knowledge of contemporary community capacity building theory, the principles and practice relevant to youth development and youth services and the ability to provide supervision of both disciplines is essential.

Strong financial management skills are important, including the ability to successfully prepare and acquit funding grants, and report on budgets while monitoring financial performance. Self-motivated and innovative, you are diligent about meeting deadlines and have sound problem solving skills underpinned with a genuine desire to apply your analytical thinking to enhance the Centre’s activities in line with the City’s strategic direction.

A degree in Community Development, Health Promotion or Youth related field is a must as well as a C class driver’s license and current Working with Children check.
