The Active and Healthy Communities Unit supports the Greater Bendigo community to be more physically active, consume healthy food, promote positive wellbeing and reduce harmful behaviours. A healthy lifestyle will enable residents to participate in their community and enhance quality of life which contributes to the liveability of Greater Bendigo.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, values driven professional to lead the unit. You will manage and deliver a range of high-quality policy, plans, programs and projects that are efficient, innovative and responsive to community needs.

As the successful applicant, you will have high level management and leadership experience, be innovative, strategic, have an ability to develop and deliver high quality services and programs and provide support to staff in a demanding environment with conflicting demands. Outstanding interpersonal skills and sound financial management experience are essential to this role.

A satisfactory Police Record Check and Working with Children Check is required for this position.
