This role will work closely with the Community Development branch, Partnerships and Recreation Facilities Manager and Active Melbourne Recreation Facilities contract (AMRFC) key contacts to embed recommended community development practices within our facilities, services and operations. This role will take a placed based approach to working with communities in their neighbourhoods to ensure participation in council decision-making and access to opportunities.
This role will champion diversity with a focus on inclusion and access for diverse cohorts.
You’ll take a leading role in supporting the Recreation and Waterways branch to be a leader in diversity and inclusion. The pace we work at is faster than grand slam serve but you thrive on that. You’re a team player on the field and in the office, you take pride in your ability to connect with people and are passionate about our goal to provide more inclusive spaces, services and programs to support more people to be physically active.
