The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities.

We now seek two suitably qualified and enthusiastic Aquatic Officer’s to be based at the Newman Aquatic Centre available for various shifts which include early mornings, evenings and weekends.

The successful applicant(s) will be in possession of a RLSS WA Pool Lifeguard award, Senior First Aid, Working with Children check, and Swimming Pool Operations Certification which includes safe handling of Chlorine Gas. Recent demonstrated employment experience in an Aquatic Facility environment is also essential.

The salary is based on a Level 8 of the Local Government Industry Award 2010 and is between the range of $66,681.36 to $70,288.82 per annum. In addition, generous East Pilbara and regional allowances of up to $6,130.80 per annum also apply. Subsidised accommodation and relocation allowances will be considered for suitable external candidates.
