Position Objectives
The Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing the operation of the Mildura South Regional Sporting Precinct to ensure delivery of a range of programs and initiatives that are responsive to community needs, providing appropriate service delivery in accordance with Council’s approved policies, principles and strategic vision.
• Implementing and reviewing all policies, procedures, user agreements, licensing, tenancy agreements and any other agreements to ensure effective management of the Precinct.
• Managing and supervising staff within the facility to provide consistent, quality programs and services.
• Provide professional advice to Manager Leisure & Cultural Services on operational issues and facility performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Recreation, Leisure Sciences or equivalent, sports administration or event management and extensive and diverse experience in stadium or facility management.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently and effectively with staff at all levels and community members.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive previous experience in developing, implementing and evaluating relevant strategies, policies and processes.
• Extensive experience in financial and other operational systems reporting.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children check or willing to obtain  prior to employment
• Current Driver’s Licence.

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified within Band 8 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $110,092.32 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
