The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar and Nullagine.

We now seek a motivated and enthusiastic professional to fill the fixed term position of Coordinator Recreation Services to cover an initial period of up to 12 months with a possible extension. The position is responsible for ensuring the provision of passive and active recreation within the East Pilbara through the development and implementation of recreation services, programs and facilities, and the implementation and delivery of capital works projects and recreation infrastructure.

In addition to managing the Shires recreation facilities and programs, in the next 12 months, this position will also provide support to the Manager Recreation & Events during the initial stages of the recreation master plan development across the East Pilbara as well as being the project leader to scope, tender and deliver the new design and equipment fit out at Newman Fitness Centre.

The salary is between the range of $71,035.25 per annum (pro-rata) and $76,142.68 per annum (pro-rata). In addition, generous East Pilbara and regional allowances of up to $6,130.80 per annum also apply.
