About the role

Working as part of the Community Capacity Building team, you will manage the areas of Early Years, Families, Volunteering and Community Groups, Health and Wellbeing, and Sport and Recreation within the City of Rockingham. In this role, you will be coordinating a small team and be involved in strategy development, project management, contract management and implementation of strategic actions across the City.

 

You in the role

You have well developed community capacity building skills, communication skills (both written and verbal), and possess experience in report writing, project development and management and strategy development, particularly in a local government setting. Your time management skills enable you to work across a diverse range of matters while ensuring the quality of your work and that of your team. Possessing excellent leadership and inter-personal skills, you lead by example and understand the importance of positive team dynamics and effective management.

It is essential that you possess a qualification in Community Development, Health Promotion, Recreation and Leisure Science or another related field. A current and valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence is also a requirement of this position.

This position offers a cash salary of $93,737 per annum.
