The Western Australian Region of PLA is supported by the Western Australian Department of Sport & Recreation through the WA Lottery Commission's sports account. This generous support enables PLA WA to advocate on behalf of the parks and leisure industry and to develop stronger links with other peak bodies in related fields. These include other professional associaqtions such as IPWEA and LGMA; industry representative bodies such as UDIA and WALGA; and a range of training institutions such as Challenger College and Edith Cowan University.

WA Regional Council

The PLA WA Regional Council meets monthly. Members are welcome to attend meetings as observers. Non-members interested in PLA activities are also welcome to attend. If you would like to come along to a PLA WA Regional Council meeting, please contact the Executive Officer in advance to confirm your attendance and the meeting time and location, as occasionally there is a need to make last minutes changes.

The Regional Council runs three professional networks. These form the core focus of PLA WA professional development activities and are each managed by a regional councillor, supported by the Executive Officer and Events Officer.

Forthcoming events (inlcuding Regional Council meeting dates) can be found under the professional development section of this website.
