With the inspiring SG$1Billion Stage 1a of Gardens by the Bay parkland opening in June 2012, and with quite a number of other innovative landscape projects having been completed in the last few years (from Skyrise greenery projects to resorts and redevelopment of concrete canals in parks (& park connectors) incorporating Water Sensitive Urban Design principles), this year is the best year so far to visit the Singapore Garden Festival from 7th to 15th July.

We (CUGE & LIAS) are currently planning to hold a Landscape Industry summit (details later) for ASEAN and Oceania countries (Aseania?) during SGF on Monday 9th July. The intent of the summit is to further develop the impact of the landscape industry throughout the region.

Of course we will combine the summit with a guided tour of the latest landscape developments in Singapore. We already have some interest from some landscape industry associations in the region, however we are trying to gauge just how many people we should plan for in the first instance.

We realise that it is a tight timeline for arranging these sort of things, but hey this is Singapore, this is what we do! Click here to email your thoughts and suggestions.
