Welcome Reception - Newcastle Museum
Newcastle Museum explores the city’s history through a diverse collection of objects and stories. From the dramatic BHP Steelworks Sound and Light Show to the glow of the enormous inflatable Earth Ball, the museum provides a sensory experience for all visitors. The Museum explores the natural environment, early Aboriginal life and Newcastle’s history and beliefs. It shares the stories of our city’s two former heavy industries, coal mining and steelmaking.
The Supernova hands-on science centre will challenge all ages with interactives to fascinate and amaze. Test your skills against a robot, see if you can single-handedly lift a car, and marvel at a mini tornado.
